I have learned with profound sorrow of the great loss of life and property caused by apparent terrorist attacks in Washington, D.C. and New York.  I would like to convey to Your Excellency and, through you, to the American people, and especially to the families of the victims, our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences for these tragic incidents.

Thailand strongly condemns these acts of terrorism.

Please let me reassure you that the Government and the people of Thailand are ready to render any possible assistance that will alleviate the suffering of the victims of these terrorist acts.
