ANNOUNCEMENT
Concerning Adjustment of Consular Jurisdiction Areas
in the United States of America

  As of August 1, 2000, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulates- General in the United States of America will adjust the areas of consular jurisdiction as follows:

 
 1. Royal Thai Embassy at 1024 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007 Tel. (202) 944-3600 Fax. (202) 944-3611, the area of consular jurisdiction of which shall cover 20 states as follows:
 Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming (and Washington, D.C.)

 
 The Embassy shall also continue to have consular jurisdiction for Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica

 
 2. Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York at 351 East 52nd Street, New York, NY 10022 Tel. (212) 754-1770, 2536-8, 1896 Fax. (212) 754-1907, the area of consular jurisdiction of which shall remain the same 10 states as follows:
 Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont

 
 3. Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago at 700 North Rush Street, Chicago, IL 60611 Tel. (312) 664-3129 Fax. (312) 664-3230, the area of consular jurisdiction of which shall cover 12 states as follows:
 Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin

 
 4. Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles at 611 North Larchmont Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90004 Tel. (323) 962-9574-77 Fax. (323) 962-2128, the area of consular jurisdiction of which shall cover 8 states as follows:
 Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
 The above-mentioned adjustment of areas of consular jurisdiction shall affect services of Thai passport renewal, visas and the protection of Thai nationals in the United States.
