Export
of Antiques of Art from the Kingdom of Thailand

Buddha images,
Budhisettva images or fragments there of are forbidden to be taken out
of the country (with the exception only new Buddha images for worshipping
by Buddhists or cultural exchanges or studying purposes but a license must
be obtained from the Department of Fine Arts). They are allowed 5
pieces per person.

A license must
be obtained from the Department of Fine Arts in order that such objects
of antiquity or objects of art, irrespective of whether they are originals
or reproductions, may be taken out of the country.

Procedure of license
application.

photograph the
front view of objects (The buddha images) and make two postcard sized prints
(not more than 2 or 3 pieces on one photograph)

The passport of
the applicant must be photocopied and its genuity must be certified by
the Embassy.

objects together
with the photographs and applicant's passport with the photocopy must be
