Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States of America

Ambassador Pibulsonggram is a career diplomat and has served as Thailand's Ambassador to the United States since February 1996.

Prior to his current appointment, Ambassador Pibulsonggram served as Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nation since 1988. From 1983-1987, he was Director-General of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. In 1980, he was the Deputy Director-General of the Information Department and became Deputy Director-General of the Department of Political Affairs in 1981. In 1982, he was appointed Ambassador-at-Large in the Foreign Ministry and was in charge of special political issues. 

Ambassador Nitya Pibulsonggram began his career in Thailand's Foreign Service in 1968.

Ambassador Pibulsonggram received his B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College and his M.A. in Political Science from Brown University. He is married to Pacharin (Patricia) Osmond.
