The Homepage of the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. is designed to provide up-to-date and comprehensive information about Thailand in relations to her politics, economy, society and foreign affairs. Our Homepage will be a source for accurate information on the Royal Thai Government’s positions on various issues of interest.  The Website also offers consular information for Thai people in the United States and the hundreds of thousands of visitors who visit Thailand each year. In addition, it gives access linkages to various Thai government agencies in the United States, Royal Thai consulates and the Thai media on the World Wide Web.

I wish to take this opportunity to reaffirm the close relations between Thailand and the United States. Since the historic signing in 1833 of  the Treaty of Amity  and Commerce between the Kingdom of Siam and the United States, our relations have prospered and have matured into a multifaceted partnership based on mutual interest, and shared democratic values, encompassing a wide range of issues, be it political, economic and trade, military, cultural, and technical.

I fully hope that the Embassy’s website will be instrumental in providing the public valuable information about the Kingdom of Thailand.
