Foreign Minister meets Ministry’s officials
On 30 July 2008, Foreign Minister Tej Bunnag met with the Ministry’s officials on
the occasion of his assumption of office at Vithes Samosorn. On this occasion, the
Foreign Minister recalled fondly his 35-year foreign-service career. While working
at the Office of His Majesty’s Principle Private Secretary for 4 years and 5 months,
he had continued to work closely with the Ministry in several capacities, including
serving as Chairman of Thailand – Cambodia Cultural Association Committee, Secretary-General
of the Thai–Lao Friendship Association, member of the Saranrom and Devawongse Varopakarn
Institute of Foreign Affairs. He therefore understands well the work of the Foreign
Ministry.
The Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for all the moral
support and well-wishes extended to him since his assumption of office. He pledged
to do his best for the country, the Ministry, and all officials.
